Don’t know how I missed this on Monday, but apparently Catherine Kieu Becker has been charged with 2 felonies for drugging her estranged husband, tying him up in bed, cutting his penis off, and then throwing it into a garbage disposal.  When the cops responding to the 911 call showed up, she told them that “he deserves it.”  Not sure what the specific details are with regards to why she felt the need to do this, but they were going through a divorce.  Now, she’s facing life in prison. 

Here’s a lesson: if you’re going through a divorce and your estranged spouse invites you over for dinner, don’t eat or drink anything!  Better yet, go out to a restaurant!  Because that’s how she drugged him…with his dinner.  And just to be clear, I’m not sticking up for the guy.  I don’t know what kind of douche bag he is, but for a woman to do this and say he deserved it, he was probably cheating.  Is it too far-fetched to assume that?  Whatever the case, it should never come down to this kind of violence.  He will have to live with this trauma the rest of his life and she will get her punishment through our judicial system, but really no one comes out of this a winner whether he deserved it or not.  The biggest problem for her defense is trying to prove this wasn’t premeditated or that she was somehow temporarily insane.  Otherwise, she might as well face the music, admit fault, and get on with serving her time.  Here’s the link to TMZ and here is a link a HuffingtonPost article with video.
