One of the things we get asked a lot about in the store is: “how do you know what size cock ring to buy?” Truth is, if you’ve never bought one before, you just don’t know. And being in the store is not an appropriate place to take measurements. But, I’ve got some practical advice to help you make a choice without measurements. And then, I will explain how you can take measurements before you go to the store.
Let’s get the most basic question out-of-the-way first: “why wear a cock ring?” Some people like the way it feels. Some people like the way it looks. This will give you a close estimate that should be within 1/8″ to 1/4″. But I must stress that you need to measure at the base of your penis and underneath your scrotum to get the correct measurement. Keep in mind that everyone is different when it comes to pain tolerance. This is especially true in the cock and ball area. What you might think of as snug, another person may think is too loose. So, even with this measurement, I would still recommend going with a rubber or neoprene cock ring before purchasing the metal ones. Find something other than metal to wear in order to determine your perfect size.
Let’s discuss putting on a cock ring before moving on to other styles of C&B toys and ball stretchers. In order to put your cock ring on with the least amount of struggle or pain, first pull the scrotum through, then put each testicle through, and then bend your penis to fit through. Sounds simple, but it will take practice. Then, to remove, you just follow in reverse, penis, then testicles, and then scrotum. I can not stress enough that if your penis is erect, you should not force it to bend. If it hurts, that means stop. You should be in a semi-relaxed state to put the cock ring on. This can be difficult for some people as it can be arousing to put a cock ring on. But, just relax and try again until you’re able to do it without being fully erect.
